Rate of Change of velocity with respect to time is called acceleration.
Velocity can be changed by 3 ways
1/ increasing velocity
2/ decreasing velocity (which is called deceleration)
3/ by changing direction of velocity
So most of the children get confused in uniform circular motion the word uniform means (same) so how there can be acceleration?
So in uniform circular motion acceleration is due to change in direction of velocity hence we can say directional acceleration.
The word uniform means:
Same magnitude
Direction may or may not change
The word constant means:
Same magnitude
Same direction
So uniform velocity means same magnitude direction may or may not be changed.
AND
Constant velocity means:
Same magnitude
Same direction
